Taken in mid-March in the Palouse in Eastern Washington. This image took almost an hour to compose by slowly driving in my car and checking out both sides of the road until the right confluence of lines and colors came together. Sadly, there was no shoulder on the road - luckily there was practically no traffic.

The white moon-like sphere in the top left of the image is actually a globe street lamp in the parking lot of a beachfront motel. I simply stood (and crouched) where the adjacent bushes would block the view of the base of the lamp.
